Wilma’s Friends on Change starts from within YOU

THIS is the food nature provides for us, if we let it.

THIS is the food nature provides for us, if we let it. Our broccoli.

Last Monday my post was about how; ‘I believe in the power of the individual, YOU‘ where I suggested that “Our current crisis was created by each of us acting independently and establishing a personal and professional lifestyle that was environmentally deaf, dumb and blind.”

Change is upon us, the Aquarius era is dawning, there is no stopping that but Erin observed;

We are in transition, yet we don’t want to be. It seems safer if everything remains the same and we know what to expect.

Evita Ochel too can see the resistance to change;

I know that our world does not support “different” – in fact it doesn’t just ignore it, it makes whoever is trying to be different and enact a change know that it is not welcome.

I agree with Erin and Evita that the status quo is making change most unwelcome, however that doesn’t stop any of us from taking our own responsibility and acting as Evita does;

I have found that what has helped me the most is establishing personal standards. I know what I can do and want to do to help myself and the Earth, and I intend to follow through no matter what the occasion, no matter what others say.

Sure we can go off the deep end and take things to the extreme level, but it is not about that. As long as we silence the noise and listen within, listen with our hearts, our actions will always be for the good of all.

Megan Bord too is in action;

But it had to start with each of us first.

The same goes for being the change we wish to see in the world. It can seem daunting at times, but I know that the journey of a thousand miles begins with one step. ONE STEP! I can do that.

I can eat less (leaving a smaller environmental footprint). I can love more (causing love to multiply and spread throughout our world). I can laugh, dance, forgive, and do all sorts of “one step at a time” things each day to initiate change on a global level. And when people see me living successfully in a more enlightened way, they, too, want to follow suit.

Yes Megan, we can all do that; in fact that is the greatest thing we can do, take the next step, set an example and be in action for the good of all.

In my Monday post I also said;

For a human soul to function on earth, it must unite with Nature -in essence our soul forms a partnership with Nature. … we have a sacred mutual partnership.

In spite of the disconnection and alienation with Nature that the status quo currently practices, many of you already know of Nature’s intelligence and how you get your questions answered in the company of Nature. Tess agreed with what Joy had to say;

Every door has been revealed to me through my time in solitude in nature. I may sit under a tree and breathe in its essence, walk along a path, sail the ocean, explore an island, walk near the surf; if I have only a moment I may sit outside and look at the sky. The Answer is within, always, and my time in nature allows that to be revealed to me.

I am thrilled to see how we are all working towards change, one step after the other. I am also becoming aware that our context is very important and I’m realizing this more and more especially now I currently learn to work with the techniques that Machaelle Small Wright teaches on how to communicate directly with Nature’s intelligence. I’m actively and consciously co-creating my life with the Nature Spirits and I have created a context that is allowing and supporting that, how cool is that.

    I just adore what Megan says about taking one step. It makes the enoromous seem much more manageable. Sometimes, I get overwhelmed by all the need to dos, have to dos, want to dos, and should dos. Bringing to focus that one thing changes the perspective. Nature is an uninhibited part of our souls. I would love to see more people breathing in the essence of it, rather than rushing through. That’s why I love the country.

      Dear Angelia, it is so easy to get overwhelmed and then do absolutely nothing. I too often have to tell myself I do NOT have to eat the elephant in one bite.
      It is good to have others like Megan validate what you are thinking, especially when we are all here to make a difference and can trust each other.
      Nature is just an unbelievable part of who and what we are, it is interesting how being alone in Nature when we can really connect gives us so much. And when you are a child in nature you have even less resistance to connect. But one step at the time, love nature when you have a chance.
      Angelia, you take care and enjoy your wedding preparations, NO rush, NO overwhelm.
      Much love, Wilma

    Wilma,
    Per Tess’ post, I just watched “March of the Penguins”..I am struck by the sense of community..purpose…just as you promote here on these pages by sharing so much of your heart and that of your readers..thank you for that!
    As far as change..Megan is right it is one step at a time..we do not need to be overwhelmed as we look at the big picture..but rather focus on what may I do this moment to impact the world, with ease, with what I have..Share from our place of abundance, even as we are learning in our own lives how to tap into that abundance..And as I fully believe if we stand shoulder to shoulder each step turns into one thousand steps..what a difference *that* makes…
    Thank you Wilma, you are so spot on lately and your energy is amazing..what fun!

    Dearest Joy, Tess’ post about the penguins is amazing, we keep mentioning how Nature is amazing and it sure pays off to pay attention to how things happen there. They sure do work together to have the chicks appear safe and well. And I sit here smiling and glowing with your generous words, I love them and thank you for that lovely gift.
    I know how you do one step at the time and what a difference it makes. Sometimes your steps have actually an enormous result and we hardly ever think about that.
    You eloquent you, these words are glorious;

    We do not need to be overwhelmed as we look at the big picture..but rather focus on what may I do this moment to impact the world, with ease, with what I have..Share from our place of abundance, even as we are learning in our own lives how to tap into that abundance..And as I fully believe if we stand shoulder to shoulder each step turns into one thousand steps..what a difference *that* makes…

    Yes, each step is one and we never know what step we amplify when we take ours.
    Oh Joy, this is what we can do for each other, encourage us to find our voice and let it sing, shoulder to shoulder each step counts, how beautiful is that, if penguins can do it, we can.
    Much love, Wilma

  4. Speaking of Wonderful Tess and her posts… here’s what really stuck with me from her current post…

    “Imagine that the universe is a great spinning engine. You want to stay near the core of the thing – right in the hub of the wheel – not out at the edges where all the wild whirling takes place, where you can get frayed and crazy. The hub of calmness – that’s your heart. That’s where God lives within you. So stop looking for answers in the world. Just keep coming back to that center and you’ll always find peace.”

    – Elizabeth Gilbert, “Eat, Pray, Love”

    How’s that for an awesome quote to add to the discussion about change from within!?

    I really want to read Ms. Gilbert’s book!!

    Love, Jannie

      Dearest Jannie, I do agree that there is a lot of wisdom in those words and these in particular I too like;

      The hub of calmness – that’s your heart. That’s where God lives within you.

      How awesome is that, to have such a resource right there and yet . . . do we have the courage to go there when we are getting pushed to choose between fearfully doing our chores for money and survival or saying ‘no’ and choose the unknown territory of the heart to live in trust and joy.
      However the more we sing the same song and the more we see these attractive images, the more chance we have to one day really go there.
      So it is extremely important to highlight these words from wonderful Tess and Elizabeth Gilbert, so thank you wonderful Jannie for highlighting them and singing so beautifully your heart songs. xox Wilma

    Hi Wilma .. we are certainly in times of change, which we need to address before events overtake us .. that will balance us and we can help others through their challenges – as Megan says one step (one help) at a time.

    Evita’s comment about “as long as we silence the noise and listen within with our hearts, our actions will always be for the good of all” – wish I’d done that this week! Time to recognise that what I consider some of my strengths are in fact seen as weaknesses by others ..

    I am sure I’ll be putting into practise all these good points once I can settle in a few weeks – life will be somewhat easier. I really look forward to learning more from you and your commenters – such wise folk ..

    Thanks Wilma – have a great weekend .. Hilary

    PS I’m glad Jannie highlighted the quote Tess used on her site .. stay near the heart of calmness .. don’t get swept off to get frayed and frazzled ..

      Dear Hilary, I too think that quote about the heart is a winner.
      Oh Hilary, trusting your outside the status quo way of being is soooo hard, that is why in the beginning a sisterhood, a community that supports you is soooo important to do this;

      Evita’s comment about “as long as we silence the noise and listen within with our hearts, our actions will always be for the good of all” – wish I’d done that this week! Time to recognise that what I consider some of my strengths are in fact seen as weaknesses by others ..

      In the face of rejection of your actions by others, it is very difficult to follow through and do them anyway, so be gentle on yourself. At least you paid attention and so the next time you sure will be better prepared.
      I so love your sharing so we can support you with what is going on.
      You too have a great weekend despite what is going on for you, much love, Wilma
