I believe in the power of the individual, YOU.

The power of good food. Nature provides, believing in us.

The power of good food. Nature provides, believing in us. Some of our winter lettuces.

When I say that we and the earth are in transition, I am not telling you or myself anything new.
I have NOT resisted the words below BUT instead of propelling me into action, they had always left me confused, frustrated and guilty because what was I supposed to DO?

These are the words that used to get me so worked up;

I believe in the power of the individual and I believe in the importance of our acting responsibly as individuals without waiting for the right leader or group. In actuality, it’s the power of the individual that leads the way.
Every one of the current critical problems has been created by us humans over a relatively short period of time. By “us” I don’t mean large groups or global populations acting in concert. This disaster has been created by individuals acting independently. By “us” I am referring to you, me, our spouses, each of our children, our grandfathers, our grandmothers, our cousins… Our current crisis was created by each of us acting independently and establishing a personal and professional lifestyle that was environmentally deaf, dumb and blind.

You can stay deaf, dumb and blind or become open to the many wonderful new things that are here for you to hear, talk about and see.
(Quoted from Perelandra; Garden Workbook II by Machaelle Small Wright.)

Okay, I get from these words that I have a part to play but the frustrating bit was always; “WHAT WONDERFUL NEW THINGS AM I SUPPOSED TO BELIEVE AND HOW DO I IMPLEMENT THEM WITHOUT BEING LOCKED UP.” The world I live in, my current context sure does NOT encourage new beliefs or new behavior.

Like many of you shared in your comments, I too was at a loss how to strengthen my backbone and how to apply all this new knowledge in a consistent and sustainable manner in my daily life. I do want to become the change I want to see in every area of my life. I do want to fearlessly follow my desires and never worry about money ever again, to be the Love that I AM, but how to do that consistently and intelligently in a world that is NOT supportive was the biggest mystery to me for many many years. What do I DO in my daily life and where is it all heading to? How does a transformed world look?

I have found the doorway I have been looking for
. I have received a peep of what is possible, what a new world can look like and how the new beliefs and new behavior fit into that.

This full explanation is thanks to ‘The Ringing Cedar‘ books which by revealing the ancient Vedic Culture show me what a transformed world can look like. The ‘Perelandra Co-creative Nature Science‘ books explain the role of Nature in all areas of our life.

In the words of T.H. Huxley, to find the doorway it takes this;

Sit down before fact like a child and be prepared to give up every preconceived notion, follow humbly wherever and to whatever abyss nature leads or you shall learn nothing.

One incredible new thing I believe and that makes so much sense once I had  learned to sit down like a child is this . . . . . .

For a human soul to function on earth, it must unite with Nature -in essence our soul forms a partnership with Nature.
Nature is intimately linked with us when ’souls and matter unite in Human Forms’ and we as Human Beings are intimately linked with Nature; we have a sacred mutual partnership.
For at least the last two thousand years we have betrayed our sacred covenant with Nature and in doing so we have betrayed ourselves.
As a result we are no longer living in Form how we are intended to, we are grossly out of shape.
We are out-of-integrity, we are dishonest, we are fearful, we are enslaved to money; we pollute our physical and mental environment and we are in danger of taking Nature down with us.
To get back into shape we need to re-establish our partnership with Nature and learn once more how to become equal, reliable partners.
As long as we are out-of-integrity, we cannot form a partnership, clean up our current mess or enter the Aquarius era gracefully as dignified adapters.
The planetary shift is going to happen, we cannot stop the change but if we resist rather than collaborate, we will be suffering as we kick and scream every inch of the way.

This is not necessary, we can handle and even support the collapse and subsequent change of our current reality with dignified action. We can strengthen our backbone so we can do what we know is right while changing our current out-of-integrity behavior into one that makes us equal partners in the clean-up and change.

For months I have subtly invited you to join WomenLikeMe to get back into-integrity but I am compelled to take a bolder stand.
We women need to learn how to take responsibility for the change. We need to learn what to DO.
I cannot let you be deaf, dumb and blind; in the context of WomenLikeMe you can sustain the change to the new reality with dignity and know-how. Therefore . . . .  I shout

  1. I have not previously heard of this concept, but it is striking how the power of one voice and the strength of one individual can make a difference on many levels. We like to wait for a leader or a group to show us the way – to give us the courage to move forward when the truth is that we each of that power and strength within us. It means holding your head up, finding your voice, ensuring it is aligned with your spirit, putting your shoulders back, living integrity, and stepping out- moving forward down the path with full recognition of the individual responsibilities that each of us maintains.

      Dear TE, it is great to know that I am responsible; it means I can DO something and I am NOT a helpless victim of circumstances, don’t you think?
      I do not know about you, but the issue was that for a long time I honestly didn’t know what to do with that responsibility.
      As you say;

      finding your voice, ensuring it is aligned with your spirit, putting your shoulders back, living integrity, and stepping out- moving forward down the path with full recognition of the individual responsibilities that each of us maintains

      is absolutely the way to go but I did NOT know how to do that. What was my voice, what was I to believe, how could I find my integrity and how could I march forward in a context that kept putting roadblocks up?
      I remember wanting to give my children good food, only to see a menu of school lunches full of bad food. At that time I had not found my voice yet, so I could not speak up and if I had would I have dared to speak up on my own?
      For me it was finding new wonderful ideas which I finally could believe in, that made sense to my mind AND my heart.
      The next step was applying them and changing my own life accordingly.
      It has been strange to notice how much effort it took to change, even now I still need this new image to keep pulling me forward.
      Co-creative science with nature is very new and such a beautiful explanatory concept about how nature supports our existence via a sacred partnership.
      We dismiss a lot in our busy lives that in old cultures like the Vedic culture was daily practice. Our body is essentially part of nature, like the trees, the birds but we totally treat it unnaturally and have hardly any relationship with its functioning or its needs or its abilities.
      Hence all the diseases, obesity, decrepit old aged bodies, loss of intelligence and our ability to heal ourselves.
      Oh TE, there is so much I have discovered that is blowing my mind away but the most important thing is that I am responsible for every change I want to make and although I am responsible it is sheer impossible to do it alone.
      We need validation, we need support in our marching forward. THAT is not weak, it is responding to the ‘nature’ of human connection and energy fields.
      That is why I am so absolutely thrilled by the sharing that is going on amongst us, IT IS important for progress.
      Much love, Wilma

      • Wilma –
        I grew up in the mountains in a family that felt closer to nature than to the cities. My dad-to date- can navigate the forests blind folded and yet he can not find his way from my office to my house (were I have lived for years) without assistance half the time. I grew up connected, but it isn’t until recently that I started realizing how significant to me this upbringing; this gift, was. I give it to my daughter as well, but not in the same way. I give her what I can – she is a natural nature child anyway… and that is a side not. While my daughter and I commune with nature daily, we are surrounded by people who drive across the street rather than walk. For so many, the idea of something is appealing yet it is easier and requires less to just do it the way everyone else doe sit.
        We each have an amazing voice – the key is not only finding it and using it, but realizing that we have to find it. It is as if we each have a role to play as individuals and through that voice we find community and through community there is a movement – yet each voice, on its own makes a difference. And the support that you offer is not only wonderful but genuine and heart felt. You are doing wonderful work Wilma!!
        This is a wonderful conversation I would love to have with you – sigh…

          Dear TE, growing up in the mountains must have been such a treat and a good one to recognize.
          This is the issue isn’t it;

          For so many, the idea of something is appealing yet it is easier and requires less to just do it the way everyone else does it.

          I start to recognize that the context we live in is important. Experiencing change is a lot easier when the environment supports it, therefore it is a very healthy practice to seek out a friendly context of like minded energy fields. It is not weakness but a real energy related thing, working your way through polluted air or through clean mountain air does make a difference.
          TE, nothing stops us to keep talking and one day we can meet :) Let’s desire that, hugs Wilma

    Ladies and Gentlemen, Wilma and John –

    I’ve been living, breathing, doing WomenLikeMe since January. I’ve navigated my first journey and I’m diving back in again. It’s that good. And I’ve missed a few things or didn’t get a few things and seriously, I could spend more time on a few of the concepts!

    I am a Teacher & a Self-Care Coach but I am also a Student. So for those of you who are teachers or coaches or therapists, give this a try. Look under the hood, kick the tires, give WomenLikeMe a test drive. You never know…you just might learn something really good and juicy about yourself.

      Dearest Peggy, I thank you from every fiber of my heart for seeing the possibility of what is on offer here and your commitment to the WomenLikeMe Program.
      You say;

      I am a Teacher & a Self-Care Coach but I am also a Student. So for those of you who are teachers or coaches or therapists, give this a try.

      Yes, in A Course in Miracles it says that ‘Teachers with a capital T’ as you like to call them, walk their talk. Indeed, how can a Teacher refuse to be a student?
      I agree that the WomenLikeMe Program is incredibly rich with opportunities to look at the wholesome ‘what is so’ and from there to make changes that are useful in YOUR daily life.
      It is in the rigorous observing that we get to see how responsible we are and what there is for us to change.
      You cannot change when you have not seen where you are, you cannot book a flight to a new place when you cannot say from where you are flying.
      Via a committed responsible look at yourself, this is alway a possibility;

      you just might learn something really good and juicy about yourself.

      You and I sure are and that is also why this blog is here. I am sharing what I am observing and learning and the comprehensive image of change that is pulling me forward.
      Change is NOT about tweaking a habit here and there, this change is about a wholesome new lifestyle that will look extensively different and makes letting go of the current ‘failing’ status quo not that difficult.
      Peggy, I know that with your own courses you are also committed to change, therefore cheers for us. Hugs Wilma

      Doing your part doesn’t always mean being an activist; as you say here

The Answer is within, always, and my time in nature allows that to be revealed to me. it took me years to be comfortable with myself to be in solitude in nature.       Dearest Joy, in the Ringing Cedar Series it is written that in Nature one can see God’s thoughts. So I absolutely can understand these words;

      Every door has been revealed to me through my time in solitude in nature. . . . The Answer is within, always, and my time in nature allows that to be revealed to me.

      It is no wonder that Nature has been kept away from us by the busy city lifestyles that serve the current make up of our world. Many of us couldn’t cope with what we would hear anyway, at least at the moment.
      To observe what is going on is NOT for the faint hearted as you know Joy, and as always I love your honesty;

      it took me years to be comfortable with myself to be in solitude in nature.

      Yes, no wonder, it is confronting to come face to face with another intelligence that can see right through and which highlights our out-of-integrity and inauthenticity, even if it is done with Love.
      I love that you picked that up, you are so astute.
      It is NOT that easy to take responsibility for your own life when our current context is NOT supporting that, YET.

      And I know now if I am hesitant or busy it is to avoid what I know will be revealed, which waits patiently for me to be *there*…

      Nature is there to support us and is also waiting patiently for us to return to that sacred covenant, in our own time and our own pace however it cannot wait indefinitely.
      We are shifting, the earth and the universe are shifting into the Aquarius era, where we will work alongside each other and Nature Intelligences once more as Source desires us to. It means we have to become responsible partners; we have to face up to who we are and who we are NOT and then adjust and correct until we become strong basecamp material that constitutes a reliable equal partner to everybody and everything, Source included.
      Oh Joy, this future image of a whole new Vedic civilization makes me excited, it is worth going for and letting go of behavior that no longer belongs in a culture that is pure and collaborative.
      Until then keep singing your light worker’s song as I will sing mine. Shoulder to shoulder we will make a difference and I really thank you for that. Much love, Wilma

  6. Hi Wilma,
    You are a shining example for everyone. I do think we’re individually responsible and collectively responsible for the state of our affairs. Each morning I take the time to do my mediation, prayer, journal and sit in nature. Like Joy nature is where I get my answers. Even in AZ it’s still cool enough for several hours in the early morning to be outside. The answers are there we have to be in tune and still enough to tap into them. I’m currently reading “The Shadow Effect.” I feel like I’ve peeled back another layer of me! Yeah;) Thanks for the kick in the arse every now and then! xo

      Lovely bold Tess, yes you are NOT afraid to face up to the wholesome ‘what is so’, your book testifies to that. To see for yourself you can download Tess’ book here.
      Nature is so much more than just cute trees and flowers, because how come nature can do this to you too;

      Like Joy nature is where I get my answers. Even in AZ it’s still cool enough for several hours in the early morning to be outside. The answers are there we have to be in tune and still enough to tap into them.

      Being in tune and being still enough is something that no longer comes naturally to us; it is all multi tasking, fast this and that and so we have quantity instead of quality and we miss out on tuning in and hearing something that takes attention to hear.
      But it is worth learning to be still and tuning in, it is worth seeking encouragement and support to learn that skill that adds so much more value to our lives than all the busy things we are doing now. We must if we want to restore our partnership with Nature that we have ignored for so long.
      It is obvious when we look at the wholesome ‘what is so’ of Nature when it is left alone and how it looks when we mess with it. It is obvious when we look at how we treat our body with natural veggies and how we treat it with manufactured rubbish. Our body is Nature too.
      It is NOT hard to see where our wealth lies, BUT we need to face the consequences of that as well.
      CHANGE, drastic change at first THAT is the barrier we need to get over and can with support from each other. Like Gloria Steinem says, “Any woman who chooses to behave like a full human being should be warned that the armies of the status quo will treat her as something of a dirty joke. That’s their natural and first weapon. She will need her sisterhood.”
      Tess, I am so grateful to have you in this sisterhood, we cannot do it for ourselves by ourselves as Feminine Power also keeps telling us. Together we can ‘march forward’ like TE wants to do. xox Wilma

  7. Hi, Wilma!

    I love the idea that all global change starts within. Even this blogging community is a testament to that: individuals who are of like-minds and hearts have sought out — or rather BUILT — a community in which we share love, insights, and encouragement. But it had to start with each of us first.

    The same goes for being the change we wish to see in the world. It can seem daunting at times, but I know that the journey of a thousand miles begins with one step. ONE STEP! I can do that.

    I can eat less (leaving a smaller environmental footprint). I can love more (causing love to multiply and spread throughout our world). I can laugh, dance, forgive, and do all sorts of “one step at a time” things each day to initiate change on a global level. And when people see me living successfully in a more enlightened way, they, too, want to follow suit.

    Loving you lots, and encouraging the greatness you share!

      Dear Megan.YES, YES AND YES to everything you say. Change starts with US, there is no other way.

      The same goes for being the change we wish to see in the world. It can seem daunting at times, but I know that the journey of a thousand miles begins with one step. ONE STEP! I can do that.

      All the steps you say DO make a difference especially when we are energy and energy expands way beyond our small physical appearances. Thus every small step changes the energy field around us that touches other energy fields and thus eventually will reach the 100th monkey that will change the whole. Oh Megan there is so much interconnection that we are not aware of, so often we dismiss small steps as not important enough.
      However even small steps can be difficult to do if your whole context marches to another drum. The mind and heart might be willing but the status quo is mighty powerful, how else could we have gotten in such a mess and still tolerate it?
      Therefore I do agree, a sister/brother/human hood is so important and I love what you say here;

      Even this blogging community is a testament to that: individuals who are of like-minds and hearts have sought out — or rather BUILT — a community in which we share love, insights, and encouragement.

      Hear, hear; context is king as Gloria Steinem acknowledges too. It is therefore a very good strategy to seek out a supportive community that keeps reminding and encouraging you, I totally agree with you my friend.
      I too am extremely grateful for this sharing as well, as we are connected we want to belong and this is our chance to belong to a community of change so our collective energy will create the 100th monkey. We cannot ignore the evidence, can we? And Megan,congratulations with YOUR new community, New Moon For You, Oh Megan the more contexts that encourage us to become the change we want to see the more chance we have to change gracefully and joyfully with others. That is so beautiful, to change with grace and joy together.
      I send you and your new community much love, XOX Wilma

      The context we live in is very important and we cannot change very easily when we are the odd one out when the rest is NOT supporting change. Therefore It is indeed a lifesaver to have a blogging community that at least supports change and offers new perspective from different angles.
      It is a shame though that we so fearfully oppose change as change is what life is about. However the better equipped we become to handle change as a strong basecamp the better off we are.

    Hi Wilma

    This was awesome to read Wilma, just awesome! I love that you boldly and authentically proclaimed your truth.

    And Wilma, yes, connection back and unification with nature is what is running through my blood today. I feel it, I know it is the right way to go. We have forgotten ourselves, but no more. Today we have a chance to wake up.

    And I want to share a little about the “how” – I know that our world does not support “different” – in fact it doesn’t just ignore it, it makes whoever is trying to be different and enact a change know that it is not welcome. And again, this starts right at home with our families.

    We want world peace and yet we can’t even find peace within our closest families.
    So for me, I do and will continue living and breathing the change, with or without support. (The good news is that as more of us awaken to this, there is support)

    And I have found that what has helped me the most is establishing personal standards. I know what I can do and want to do to help myself and the Earth, and I intend to follow through no matter what the occasion, no matter what others say.

    Sure we can go off the deep end and take things to the extreme level, but it is not about that. As long as we silence the noise and listen within, listen with our hearts, our actions will always be for the good of all.

    So Wilma may you be blessed for sharing your voice, and for all the work you do. You are the change, you are the new world.

      Dear Evita, thanks so much for ‘listening’. Evita, there is NO other way than to connect with Nature again so I am thrilled to hear these words;

      yes, connection back and unification with nature is what is running through my blood today. I feel it, I know it is the right way to go.

      In the last era we used our freewill to dissect and alienate ourselves from Nature to try and find the mysteries of life, forgetting that in the wholeness of Nature we can find it.
      Now it is time to use our freewill and to look at the co-creative side, our connectedness in a whole new light. We cannot survive by ignoring the environment we live in by acting superior and as if our actions have no impact.
      Bruce Lipton, a cellular biologist has researched that our cells are responding intelligently to our environment, so if we develop negative beliefs and fear, those will also be the beliefs that are our cells carry within them. He explains it all beautifully in ‘The Biology of Belief‘.
      We do not know half of what we are doing, we haven’t the faintest idea and yes starting with our own immediate environment is a very good start. As we clear up ourselves, we do clean up a part of our immediate Nature environment as well.
      Oh Evita, if we only took the time to observe and watch and really see what we are doing, it would make a huge difference. For me I have been called to understand the wholesome ‘what is so’, my mind needs to have a say and I am finding ways to have my mind and heart work together AND some modern scientists are doing just that also.
      What then is being revealed is very exciting and there is NO doom and gloom when you understand what needs to be done. On the contrary it is enormous hopeful and powerful and IS giving me my responsibility back which I now can take on confidently and excitedly.
      THAT is so powerful and joyful.
      I love that we are on this road together and have you heard of Bruce Lipton and Machaelle Small Wright, they both are doing amazing research, really amazing.

      But we know you are there, you are like a lighthouse, we get our turn of your bright light, and we can wait for it to show up, don’t you worry. Oh SuZen, let’s both keep on shining the SWL, the Sister Warrior Light.
      I loved your last post in which you go for it too and you are right, once you are passionate and seeing the light, we cannot keep quiet even if we talk to turned of hearing aids sometimes.
      Much love and hugs, Wilma

    Hi Wilma,

    I know this is a little late, but I wanted to tell you that I really enjoyed this post. Everything about it spoke out to me and I especially love the idea of personal responsibility. It feels good to know that I am doing my part and that so many others are as well.

    What surprises me is how much more easily some people comprehend the power of nature over others. It’s also amazing to see someone who hasn’t been outdoors in so long go out and volunteer and it’s like they are discovering a whole new world. That’s always very exciting and inspiring to see.

    You are making such a great difference with your thoughts and words Wilma. I congratulate you and all who are choosing the harder (but more meaningful) path to take each day.

    Much love,
    Kristie
