And the tenant is . . . .
Weeeeell, this is what I wrote 2 weeks ago;
“Now we’ve got the house, the Universe, John and I are going to manifest great tenants.
John and I have been preparing the house so it is ready for good people.
(He is even putting insulation in so it is really nice and snug, now we are moving!)
It is up on Trade-me and so far our job is done, although I keep it nice and tidy for when people want to have a look.
As we have done all we could, it is now up to the Universe to find those lovely tenants.
I cannot wait to see who the Universe is coming up with.”
And we’ve done it. YAHOOO. AGAIN!
Our team, including the universe of course, has come up with the most desirable tenant you can think off.
The new tenant is a friend, who is going to love this house in the way we love it and that is what I asked for!
The mind boggles but this is a beautiful example of how to be in action so that the universe can deliver.
It starts with creating time in your life so you can be a ‘yes’ to invitations that matter.
As we are mindful of time, we usually have enough to say “yes” to invitations that matter when they come along.
So when we received this one, we said “yes” and there we were at a gathering with Mary Dwen who distributed those wonderful Anastasia books.
As you do in those situations, you tell people what you are up to and thus Mary heard about our move and our search for tenants.
Months ago, our friend visited us before he was going overseas and that night we raved about Mary’s books.
He then told us that his partner is a friend of Mary’s and this is how the web was spun.
Then one day, after his return from overseas, our friend rings Mary.
He tells her that he is looking for a house to rent and yes, because we were a “yes” to Mary’s invitation and told her about our house, she knows we are looking for tenants
and so it goes:
She says; “I know a couple whose house is for rent”
and then he says; “I know those two”
and then he comes around and really likes what he sees
and so all our work of making the house beautiful and insulated paid off
and the universe once again delivered, having played along with our actions in perfect harmony.
In hindsight it has been such a painless and clear journey, but I did have to watch for panic creeping up on me, especially when people shared the state of the current economy and how hard everything has become.
The trick for me was to;
- keep repeating to myself that I have done enough and that my job was done.
I needed to regularly tell myself that I didn’t need to do anything more as far as looking for a tenant was concerned. I could get on with doing other things.
That has proven to be a real hard thing for me to do though, because I usually only feel that I’ve done enough when I see the solution or outcome right in front of me. Until then I do want to do something! - keep being relaxed and know that it will happen even if all the indicators are at odds. To hold the mantra; “I desire a good tenant and a good tenant I will get” took some doing. However it helped that I knew that our new landlords also manifested their desires in an equally hard time. That was a real good one to hold on to!
- keep out of the way of the universe. Don’t meddle, don’t think about it too much and let it go out of your mind as much as you can.
This is a quote from Clif Sanderson; “The greatest benefit arises from detachment from the desire for certain results.”
AND oh boy that is a tough one too.
How am I supposed to visualize the whole deal that I want, in all its glory and then to let it go by saying “I am not attached to the result”????
I AM attached, I want it to happen!
But I have also seen that when you get out of the way, usually totally unexpected wonderful things do happen, like us not selling the house, me getting out of the way and now we are renting this super place. - AND don’t pick fights with your partner. I am so grateful that that last one is not an issue. When stressed and when I don’t know what to do, I become vulnerable to doubt and think we both are doing things wrong. As we have the time to talk, we talk, I settle down and I get to see that we both have done our bit and that all is well. That is so bliss.
So, here you have it.
The beautiful story of our move to the Garden of Eden to live in nature’s beauty as intended, eating flowers soon.
I feel more and more powerful, living a life we ALL enjoy, I, John, the earth, God and you when you come and visit or when you get a glimpse of a star who twinkles that much brighter because it likes what it sees.

Thanks Wilma, Glad to have been an instrument and be in the wonderful dance of your lives.
So true to do what we can do towards our goals and when all is done, to let it go free. So hard when we are attached and have put our heart and soul into the ‘whatever’. If it has been a very intense journey it could almost seem like letting go of your children….but then we have to do that too …LOL.
I love your writing..sorry I didn’t get to comment on last week’s on the family reunion. It helped me remember my Mother’s 80th and has inspired me to really celebrate Tony’s birthday- which is coming up.
Love Mary
awesome wilma.. that is so inspirational! i find your points really helpful too, thanks!… (am really happy for you both!)
cheers
fiona
@ Mary. I love you being part of our dance of life, how wonderfully said.
And yes, letting go is not something we do easily, but once we do . . . . we allow miracles to occur as we are far less imaginative than the universe.
@ Fiona, I am pleased you noticed the points, you asked for them! and now we are both up North soon
Wilma you’re on a roll – what’s next?
Thanks for the tips.
Awesome News Wilma! Congratulations to both you and John and may the move up North be just as smooth and magical.
Daniel, now I know what is possible, a woman friendly yacht with an interior I designed.
Sitting in a lagoon in the tropics to show people what is possible, hmm, I like that. I might meet you and Clare and Luke there too.
Hi Kim, thanks for all your lovely wishes
Hi Wilma,
How funny! This is almost exactly how I sold our latest renovated house too!
We had the house on the market, and the initial response was great… but all the offers were only half-sincere and we could never negotiate anything that would work for both parties. The market was quite quickly slowing down too, and a lot of the previous demand for houses has disappeared lately. Our initial open homes that would get 45+ people would be lucky to get 3-4 on a good, sunny day by the 3rd week on the market. (and nobody would show up if it was even looking like it might drizzle for 5 minutes)
We were starting to question whether we’d have to rent out the house or move into it ourselves.
One day, on a whim, I went to my friend Shawn’s art supply shop to talk to him about some marketing for another venture I’m involved in. He and I used to do some grass-roots marketing stuff together back during my clothing business days about 8-9 years ago. I hadn’t seen him for about 1.5 years or so, and only briefly back then, as he had other customers in his shop at the time, and I was only stopping in on my way past.
He said that he was out of the marketing game… BUT the shop was quieter this particular day, so we got talking about other things we are up to. I mentioned the house we had just finished. He said that he and his partner were expecting a baby soon, and they wanted to move from their 1 bedroom 35sq. m. apartment into something bigger. I showed him the online photos of the house on his shop computer, and they went to see it the very next morning at the open home.
They loved it at first sight… it was exactly what they were looking for, and it was even in the area they had been looking at several months prior.
They said they wanted to buy it, so we drew up a sales contract with our agent. Because of our friendship, it was very easy to make a fair and reasonable contract and know that nobody would feel it was unfair. They waived their final “escape clause” on Monday which had to do with selling their apartment… so now they’re definitely buying the house from us.
I look back on that conversation with Shawn now, and I realise that that was probably the first conversation I’d had about the house (outside of my family) where I wasn’t expecting anything to come from it in terms of achieving a sale. Obviously, I wouldn’t have walked in off the street and tried to convince an old friend to buy my latest renovated house, but it ended up as a case of perfect synchronicity… they were looking for a house, I had a house on offer in the price range and area they wanted, and they loved it when they saw it.
Funny that — just as we were getting concerned about having to continue paying the mortgage on a half-million-dollar vacant house in a slowing market, I had a conversation with a friend in which I held no attachment to “getting rid of the house”… and the whole situation began to resolve itself instantly!
There are a few other amazing things that have happened for them since then — but that’s an entirely different story…
So congrats to you and John on your having found a tenant, and all the best on your move to Paradise North!
… and don’t forget to share your new lifestyle with the rest of us by posting lots of photos.
)
@ Michael. If that isn’t a great marketing ploy to live your life wiht the universe on your side, then I don;t know what is!
What a beautiful story about how things will work out if you let go of worry or push.
How often do we have to hear it before we can always do it this way.
Thank you so much for sharing and you will see phots of our paradise, don’t worry,
It is so wonderful to be following your fantastic manifestations Wilma. Thank you for sharing some of the processes with us and being so inspiring.
It has made me look back over my life and see that a lot of the significant things that have happened have all sarted with my thought processes. The journey has often had unexpected twists and turns but the rewards have been bountiful. So thank you for prompting some reflection and the inspiration to keep manifesting!!
HI Nicola, it is indeed interesting to see that we all do manifest, when we take the time to notice. It then can become a more conscious process.
Yes Wilma, thanks for sharing your conscious process and how you are even more effective when you are specific with what you want to manifest! Roll on those spring veges!
I know Nicola, dreaming is a serious business and I can see the spring veges coming. . .
