Frustrated!

Posted on April 30th, 2008 by Wilma (4 Responses)

I sometimes get so fed up with the difficulties I am having changing how I live.
It requires a lot of rigorous practice to live according to the exciting new ways and I find that tough.
Life and lame social activities can distract me from what is really important and if I am not vigilant enough, bingo back to stupid square one I go. FRUSTRATING!

Granted. I do read THE books, do watch THE movies and do attend courses but doing the main thing, ‘practice and experiencing’ is hard work.
It takes a lot of time to digest the information and to apply it rigorously enough to experience the message in one’s own life.

I gobble up all the information as fast as I can, mostly without chewing and unfortunately that is not enough to change my life.

I say; “yeah, yeah, how wonderful”.
I ponder about what is possible, feel inspired for a second and then slip back into the routine of daily life.

Both my John Channings from Leverage & You and Elyse Hope Killoran from ‘Prosperity from the inside out’ are examples of people who work hard to get us to experience what they teach, so we will manifest prosperity and a new earth free from scarcity and fear.

They tell us; “Stop being so busy, be still, take time out, practice and experience this new stuff so it becomes part of your cell memory.”

Elyse points it out beautifully in her latest newsletter;

Because, as committed as I have been to finding the best “words” to describe the creation process, I’ve been hampered by the fact that all I have been able to share with you is “words.”
And, as Abraham-Hicks will tell you: “Words don’t teach. Only experience teaches.”

The new message is: “Stop reading what I say about creating prosperity and go have a direct experience.”

What you need are direct experiences that will enable you to convert “hoping” into “conviction and doing.”

You can see I am a bit frustrated this week.
I keep experiencing that it takes a lot to get it and I am getting a bit tired of practicing.
There is so much to learn and every time when I think I am getting there, another learning moment pops up and once again I have to work hard to deal with that challenge. Sometimes I feel like saying; “Leave me alone, it is all too hard, will it never end?”

Okay, you now know what I am on about.
How diligent and rigorous are you at experiencing new learnings?
Do you often feel too busy to take it on?
How often do you feel like giving up, wanting to be left alone and doing it the old way?
It can apply to
· relationships
· work and finding your passion
· money
· fitness and health regimes
· thoughts

  1. Hi Wilma
I too get annoyed with effects I create. But I can notice slowly after years that I have a different response mostly.

I am pondering…maybe you could stop trying. Maybe all the trying is sending the message about what you don’t want. Who teaches us that trying to change is resisting what is? And what we resist persists. You could observe yourself with love and kindness. We first need to accept ‘what is’, that might create a vacumn into which a new response can arrive. The process of doing anything new or different (which we specifically intend) must begin by accepting where we are or otherwise we rush off sometimes in the wrong direction.

@Bridget. I like what you say about love and kindness to yourself. That resonates as it takes the judgement out of it and makes life light and trying not so precious :)

    Hi Wilma.
I have to agree with Bridget here. I have stopped beating myself up for not getting it right. I have come to realise that there is no escaping the process and it is never ending improvement. Coming from a space of observation and not judgement brings me many more hours of peace than I used to have, thats for sure. There is nowhere to get and we can only observe what is so right now.

@Boyd. Hmmmm, it looks like we all have made life into a forced labor camp instead of a joyful journey of exploring.
Well I guess as you say, startig to observe is the first step and enjoying life as much and as often as you can a close second.
