MY STORY
When I read a blog for the first time, I always go to the About Page too.
I want to know who is talking.
So, thanks for taking an interest and for giving me a chance to introduce who’s behind this blog.
I am Wilma Ham.
Why am I doing this?
Because I am passionate about the topic, ‘FAMILY and LIFE’ and about ensuring that our indigenous power is returned to the ‘ME’ in all of us.
I want a life that I can be proud of, one that I really enjoy. Yet I’ve noticed that living this way is not that easy. Fancy that!
It is not that we don’t have the information, we actually know a lot; I have an impressive book case and corporate experience to prove it!
However 10 years ago I was NOT the grounded, savvy woman my book case would have you believe I was.
I was NOT confidently using my indigenous female power to lead my family and plow through life, having it happen the way I would like it to.
All these years of gathering knowledge lead me to the jumping off point, where I remained hovering, totally incapable of taking the plunge.
Instead I was left staring into a big chasm that separated my current life from the life of my dreams. No way could I jump that big scary gap between what I knew and what I actually had to do.
It made me wonder what was going on.
Why was it so hard to make the changes I knew were possible and desirable?
Well, like any changes, I saw that it’s really tough to make them on your own or with unsupportive people in your life.
It wasn’t until I built a miraculous new relationship with John Channings, who is the co-founder of WomenLikeMe that I could do things differently.
I have two wonderful, grown up daughters who have seen their Mom change from a confused people-pleaser into a proud woman reclaiming her indigenous power. I’m ready to provide them with guidance.
I live in a beautiful spot, growing and eating healthy veggies and most days I nearly burst from joy.
I guess it is only natural that I want to share what can happen with an awesome support crew on board. So I say to all you conscious women out there, who stand shaking at the cliff edge… “YOU CAN DO IT!” and I’m right here with you through this blog.
Bridge the gap from knowing to doing; become a woman you and your family are proud of.
Sounds good, doesn’t it?
Love Wilma
