I am astounded at how my past stops me from dreaming big.
We visited a friend last week who lives close to Auckland on a property that is out of this world.
There is a stunning view over beautiful native bush towards the hills and of course a bush track to their own stream.
Every time I see such properties I am still amazed that I didn’t buy one when we arrived here from Holland twenty six years ago.
But I finally figured it out why we didn’t buy one.
The reason is my past . . .
I have been caught out. I am the cause in the matter….
What happened was that the washing machine was playing up. It left lots of soap residue on the washing and I mean lots.
I hate that…so I complain bitterly…..and I end up in a funny place.
Since I discovered some really interesting blog sites I have been behaving like a kid.
I am glued to my computer screen and I have no intention of cleaning my room or doing my chores so to speak.
You are getting no old stuff from me. No, out is out and in is in. Old blog was out, this look is in.
So thanks to my blog teammates John Channings and Robert Popovic and the blogging community I now have ‘the new’ look too, for as long as that lasts.
But blogging for me is not just about figuring out how to look good or about the number of visitors.
For me it is about real learning AND the emotions it is bringing up.
I have a bee in my bonnet about ‘help’.
I find that giving help is an art and most of the time help is very unhelpful.
And I think that it all depends with whose agenda the help is given.
